| | | | Arts Council's First 2026 Board of Trustees Meeting | |
|
Shannon B. Henry, President and CEO, Board of Trustees committee members, and Arts Council staff gave updates on the progress of the organization and brainstormed on how to improve further.
Afterwards, Arts Council staff inboxes pinged with the sounds of compliments coming in from the members of the Board of Trustees:
|
Just wanted to say again how much I appreciate the u-turn that Shannon’s leadership and staff focus has created. A year ago we were scratching our heads trying to figure out the “who, what, when, how” of operations, engagement and development. I came out of the meeting with a huge sense of relief and could tell we have regained energy, optimism, confidence, and purpose. We still have a lot of work to do (always) but we are definitely on track again!
Regards,
Robin Miller
Vice President, First Citizens Bank

"You've brought back the Arts Council swagger, keep it up Shannon and team. We are all behind you 110%! Exciting to see the progress made and also your team's ability to be nimble, receptive to feedback, to partner across public, private and government sectors and to serve as the consummate advocate for our beloved arts community here in WS. You rock! 😊" - Courtney Benfield
