After two weeks of school, teachers, students, and parents are settling into new routines and actively participating in our community. It was a pleasure meeting so many new families at today’s New Family Forum and Monday’s Coffee Social hosted by the PTSA New Family Committee. Next week will bring several opportunities for you and your student to get involved in our school.
Encourage your student to attend Club Day on Thurs, Sept 7 during Langley Links. Whether your student is interested in robotics, Model UN, fashion, or E-Sports, with over 100 clubs to choose from they are surely to find a club that is right for them. Juniors and seniors interested in applying to an honor society should be on the lookout for more information in Schoology and Saxon Broadcast. Show your Saxon Spirit and come out to the Family Tailgate Party on Fri, Sept 8, which will feature live music and games.
Parents, don't forget to check your class page on the PTSA website and pay the class activity fee, which is due next week! This is the only way to guarantee that your child will receive a class t-shirt to wear during the Homecoming Pep Rally on Fri, Sept 22. The class page also contains information about class coffees, dinners, and other class-specific news. Links to class pages are listed below under Class Notes.
Finally, remember school will be closed tomorrow, Sept 1 and Mon, Sept 4. I hope to see you at tonight’s Varsity Football Home Opener and hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day weekend! Go Saxons!
~ Joy Hohenthaner, PTSA President
