November is a month for voting, gearing up for winter months ahead, and reflecting on things we are thankful for. Check out the free or discounted rates RTA and shared mobility companies are offering to increase access to the polls on election day. In the spirit of keeping everyone safe on our streets, even with shorter daylight hours, University Circle Inc. (UCI) has launched Project Yield, a pedestrian safety awareness initiative. If you work in University Circle, make sure you take a few minutes to fill out the employee transportation survey. Respondents have a chance to win one of four $25 Mitchell's ice cream gift cards. Is it ever too cold to be thankful for ice cream? We don't think so.

Take GCRTA to the Polls for FREE on Election Day

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority is providing free rides to the polls on election day. Free fares cover bus, rail, and paratransit services. All riders must wear masks while on transit vehicles and while waiting at transit stops. Click here for more information.

Project Yield Aims to Raise Awareness of Pedestrian Safety Issues in University Circle

After a string of roadway incidents involving pedestrians in University Circle last winter, UCI is pushing for greater public awareness around road safety. Winter months are especially important as there are fewer hours of daylight, and safety risks for pedestrians increases at night.
