For those of you with dogs, you know how happy they are. Dogs have great dispositions. Their tails wag - a LOT. They are ready when we are with the toy or ball. They'll hop on the leash to walk with us faster than we can get it harnessed. They offer licks to our faces and gently place their paws on our laps. They'll nudge their cold wet noses under our hands and arms to get in additional petting.
Dogs are such happy creatures!
My little furball, Lupini Martino, wakes up SO happy every morning, he inspires me to feel happy, too. His fuzzy little squirrel tail cannot wag to and fro fast enough as we play on the floor before heading downstairs for coffee. (He likes his with half 'n half.) He rolls over, ready for me to say, "That's a good belly!" as I rub it furiously. He chases my hands tapping on the floor, he wiggles his tiny body crazily, and he is delighted to see everyone up and moving around.
Lupini wakes up happy. Every day. With love in his heart. Nothing stops him. What's stopping us?
We should - and can - wake up similarly - with enthusiasm for the day! Happy to be alive. Happy to move around. Happy to get the day going. Happy to greet our people.
Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day - and ONE of them is waking up.
Let's wake up happy.
