*Expanding And Strengthening Community!

Dear Village Community ❤️

The next Community News are dedicated to the Event Labels in our calendar. It is important to us that everyone in our community feels seen and welcome. That’s why our offerings have evolved in the last year to better meet the needs of different groups within our community and to create safer spaces for a variety of needs. While our core demographic has been and continues to be GBTQ+ men*, we have also hosted events for the Trans Masc* and Trans Fem* communities. Some gatherings, like our outdoor program or the potluck, are less about shared experiences of gender or sexual orientation and more about connection and community. For these, we use the label LGBTQIA+ to foster friendships and networking across our queer family. As we continue expanding, we will fine-tune our approach and welcome your input. We are also developing small curation teams to better serve different needs—more details will follow.

To help you navigate our events, we've created event labels that indicate for which groups' needs each event in our calendar is designed for. This development enriches all of us by ensuring that everyone can find the space they need while allowing the diversity of events to continue growing. The categories help create safer spaces and enable deeper work for specific groups.

There are still plenty of events open to all, providing opportunities for connection, support, and exchange—regardless of which part of our diverse community you belong to. In addition to specific events for individual groups, we also offer many opportunities for the entire community to come together and network. Coming together as a whole community means everything to us ❤️🩷💜💙💚💛🧡

In the calendar on our website, you can filter by event labels under "For whom" to find events that best suit you.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our offerings, feel free to reach out—we look forward to connecting with you!

*Our event labels indicate which groups our events are designed for

LGBTQIA+

Events with this label are designed to welcome everyone across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. They create spaces where people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities can connect, share experiences, and build community in an inclusive and affirming environment.

GBTQ Men*

These events are specifically for gay, bi, trans, and queer men* and those who identify somewhere on a gender-fluid male-to-non-binary spectrum. They provide space for exploring identity, connection, and community while acknowledging the fluidity of gender and the cultural constructedness of categories like man* and woman*.

Trans Fem*

These events center people on the feminine spectrum who were assigned male at birth, including trans women and non-binary people with a feminine identity. They offer a space that acknowledges shared experiences while embracing the diversity within transfeminine identities.

Trans Masc*

For those on the masculine spectrum who were assigned female at birth, including trans men and non-binary people with a masculine identity. These events foster community and support in navigating gender identity, transition, and self-expression.

TIN & Friends

Open to transgender, intersex, and non-binary people, as well as allies who actively support gender diversity. These events create spaces for shared experiences, learning, and solidarity across different gender identities and expressions.
