Young Blood Singers Perform At Hartford Harvest Festival

Take a moment and experience the "Young Blood Singers" — led by Wayne T. Duncan, who is Cherokee. The goal of the music they play is to unite everyone in the space by hearing and experiencing the sounds and energy together.

When you witness the circle dance know that it is created to allow space to meet new people, build and strengthen relationships and socialize with each other.

A heartfelt thank you to the artists Lee Mixashawn Rozie, Nizhoni Kilgore, Khaiyan Kilgore, Kheymoni Parker, Patricia Kelly and the Young Blood Singers.

Wladyslaw Prosol is a Polish-American artist and architect. He has a master's degree in architecture and art from the Krakow Polytechnic University.

Wladyslaw works in acrylic, oil and experimental art. His work is inspired by a fascination with what happens at the moment when we recognize visions in the mind’s eye and rapidly manifest them in the form of painting. This approach automatically provokes questions about the role of traditional painting and its impact in the context of digital art.

Hartford Reads in Color Book Club

This Sunday, October 31, 2-3 p.m.

Join Hartford's L.I.T. to read and discuss Queenie, a novel about a vibrant, but troubled 25-year-old British-Jamaican woman by Candice Carty-Williams.

Candice Carty-Williams was the first Black author to win The British Book Award in 2020.

Hartford Reads in Color is a book club committed to delving into the narratives and rich diverse voices of communities of color.

This group meets on Zoom the last Sunday of the month. Registration is required. Seating is limited.
