SD Parent Connection Updates

On behalf of the SD Parent Connection’s Board of Directors, in response to the events of the past several weeks, we are here to support families – all families.  We stand for inclusivity and against social inequality.  We stand with those affected by bigotry and injustice. Our mission is to empower individuals and families and we remain committed to that mission.

Our Sioux Falls Office has re-opened and is taking precautions for everyone's health and safety. Families & professionals are encouraged to make an appointment before coming in. We are asking that all guests wear a mask. If you do not have one, one will be provided. Aberdeen and Rapid City offices continue to work remotely but are available to assist and support you!

Opportunities to Take Part in Study

Your families’ input about their experiences during this time is vital for practitioners, educators, and others to understand how we can better support them.

  • Are you a biological parent, stepparent, adoptive parent, foster parent, friend or family member with care giving responsibilities?
  • Do you live with a school-aged child between the ages of 6 and 22 with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD)?
  • Are you interested to sharing about your experiences during this unique time?

If you answered YES to the above questions, please participate in our study by taking a short survey online at three time points (once every 2 months). Your survey responses MATTER. They will help determine how to support families during this crisis. You will also be entered into a raffle to win a $20 Amazon gift card each time you take the survey.
