本週 (2/10, 2/11) 為學校正規上學日，上課時間不變，校外學分班正常上課，選修課暫停一次。

During the Chinese New Year Festival (2/10, 2/11), school and extra credit class will operate under normal school hours. There will not be any elective classes on Sunday (2/11)!

2018 爾灣中文學校"旺福迎新慶新年" 將在本週(2/10 and 2/11) 
在學校體育館 舉行，活動當天，除了有免費的表演節目欣賞，還有有趣好玩的遊戲、猜謎、DIY童玩、藝術家作品欣賞、與中國紙藝製作等等。除此之外，也有中華美食、點心、鹹酥雞及波霸奶茶販賣等等。歡迎大家於我們一起慶祝並迎接新年的到來！
2018 Chinese New Year Festival will be on 2/10 and 2/11. This is a Free-Admission event! In addition to performances, there are Chinese Art exhibition, fun games, and Chinese arts and crafts for you to enjoy. Boba milk tea, Popcorn chickens, Chinese desserts and snacks are also available for you to purchase. Please join us to celebrate 2018 Year of the Dog!

繽紛燈籠慶新年 Beautiful Lantern Decoration

各班級的燈籠將學校點綴的五彩鑌紛，一片燈海真是壯觀！感謝各班老師、學生、及家長的同心協力，不僅讓我們的學校美倫美幻，也增添了新年新氣象。願大家一起過一個快樂的新年！

The class lanterns make our campus spectacular! Thanks to all teachers and classes for their time and effort to make this happen. Stop by the 2nd floor hallway and lobby to take some photos of them!

A Performance Groups From Taiwan - String of Hope Orchestra

慶祝活動榮幸邀請到來自台灣的希望弦樂團表演，希望弦樂團指揮劉哲儒老師相信用音樂來幫助生活在偏鄉、生活環境較艱苦的孩童們，從小建立團隊榮譽的精神，培養良好的品格，奠定優質人格的基礎，並培養其自信。表演時間為早上及下午各一場。

We are honored to have String of Hope from Taiwan to join the Lunar New Year Celebration on February 10. Conductor Liu provide the free music classes for the children who living at countryside and don’t have much opportunity for learning the instruments. There are 2 performances in the morning and afternoon. Welcome to see their wonderful performance.

PTO has prepared traditional Chinese New Year games and great prizes for the New Year Festival! Enter to win a red pocket to start the Year of Dog with luck! Try our delicious Vietnamese sandwich and egg roll combo at our food booth. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Kona Ice's refreshing Hawaiian ice! Come visit PTO booths for fun and food at the New Year Festival!
元宵慶祝活動開始預約取票
Lantern festival Tickets Reserved
海岸中華文化中心/爾灣中文學校與太平洋交響樂團共同舉辦的狗年元宵慶祝活動將於3月4日在Segerstrom Concert Hall 舉辦，活動時間為12點至6點，活動內容豐富，精彩中西樂團表演、舞蹈、舞龍、舞獅、免費手工藝術品製作、猜燈謎及美食餐車。現開放免費索取門票，並於2月5日起早上9點至晚上7點至辦公室領取。目前招募義工，早上10:30開始至下午5:30 .名額有限，盡速報名！

South coast Chinese Cultural Center/ Irvine Chinese School and Pacific Symphony hold the Lantern Festival on March 4th at Segerstrom Concert Hall。 We are currently recruiting the students who are interested at decorating or painting the lantern. Please register online first, then pick up the lantern at the office. The quantities are limited. The due day for turning in the final work is February 1st. The lanterns will be displayed at the concert hall after the screen procedure. 
Volunteers needed! on event date March 4th at the Segestrom Concert Hall. Limited spot, please apply it ASAP!

書畫親子班是近年書畫教學總結出的經驗模式，此一系列課程計畫書法完成22 法筆法,楷書180 字臨摹, 學完116 法結體.國畫,學習鳥譜,竹譜,花譜 的寫意畫和初級山水畫,動物寫意畫。
說明會將於2月25日週日 早晨9點30分於學校圖書館舉辦說明會。學者型藝術家陳榮老師親臨說明。欲參加說明會者請上網報名，或電949-559-6868 分機100洽詢報名詳情。

爾灣市長Donald Wagner 將於2月27日下午6點於爾灣市政府舉辦市政說明會，歡迎爾灣市民踴躍參加!

City of Irvine Mayor Donald Wagner will hold a meeting in Feb 27 at 6 pm. The location is at Irvine City Hall, welcome to join.
