南海岸中華文化中心/爾灣中文學校與太平洋交響樂團共同舉辦的狗年元宵慶祝活動將於3月4日在Segerstrom Concert Hall 舉辦，活動時間為12點至6點，活動內容豐富，精彩中西樂團表演、舞蹈、舞龍、舞獅、免費手工藝術品製作、猜燈謎及美食餐車。歡迎參加。

South coast Chinese Cultural Center/ Irvine Chinese School and Pacific Symphony hold the Lantern Festival on March 4th at Segerstrom Concert Hall。Event stars from 12 pm and ends at 6 pm. There are many great performance and activities. Welcome to join us.

iChineseReader 線上閱讀
學校已開始進行全校學生可以在家進行線上閱讀，(iChineseReader)以培養學生閱讀的習慣並可增加學生的閱讀和認字能力，如對於使用上及讀本有疑問請與各班級老師或辦公室諮詢。

ICS has begun implementing the reading program, iChineseReader, in order to improve students with their reading proficiency, joy of reading, and vocabulary recognition in Chinese. If you have any questions regarding logging in your child's iChineseReader account or your child's reading assignment, please check with his/her language teacher or ICS office.

2018校內演講、詩詞朗誦比賽報名已開始，希望所有有興趣的學生踴躍報名參加。得獎者將有機會代表學校參加五月初的南加州中文學校聯合會春季學術比賽。

The applications for 2018 Poem Recital/Speech Contests already start and will be due on 3/25. The winners might be selected to represent Irvine Chinese School for SCCCS Spring Contests in May.

喜歡跳舞的大朋友或小朋友們，今年國際桃李盃舞蹈大賽，將首次在南海岸中華文化中心/爾灣中文學校舉行．凡5歲以上均可報名，有各種不同組別，請按連結參閱詳情．報名截止日期2月28日，比賽日期3月31日。

Taoli World Dance Competition will be held at SCCCA/Irvine Chinese School on for the 1st time. The last registration date is February 28 and competition date is March 31. Please see the link for the details. The competition is for age 5 and up.

Teacher Tao calligraphy Class Sharing session
陶海心老師青少年書法培訓班，以最短最有效的時間教導學生們，從甲骨文、隸書、楷書、金文和篆書、行書和草書的各書體學習，到佈局與章法等書法創作，涵蓋書法藝術的各個方面，提升學生創作及獨立思考能力。陶海心老師兒童課程學習作品展將於3月11日週日早上9點30分, 展覽中陶海心老師將分享其創作靈感及教學方法， 在學校圖書館展出， 請上網登記! 

Teacher Tao will teach students calligraphy at the efficient and effective method to learn from the origin of the Chinese writing. March 11, we will hold Teacher’s Tao’s students’ work after the 1st session of learning. You can also learn what’s the inspiration of his art work.
