Welcome to our Virtual Worship for the Third Sunday of Easter, April 26

You can preview our texts here:

(Another big day for St. Peter: We continue with his Pentecost speech from the book of Acts and we get yet another snippet form the first Letter of Peter. (Peter gave neither that speech - it was written by the author of Luke/Acts - or wrote that letter - it is a good text, though - but the man is still on a lectionary roll).. The Gospel of Luke yields the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, rich with so many themes that we just can't get to them all, but you know that I'll try...)

For your convenience, a copy of the virtual bulletin is attached. There will also be four musical offerings with accompaniment and lyrics provided.

The service begins promptly at 10 AM but once again we will open the service at 9:45 so we may do a little greeting beforehand, and we certainly invite you to hang out afterwards for virtual coffee hour and conversation.

Once again we will 'mute all' for certain portions of the service, when other noise and side conversations can be distracting. It is not a fool proof system.  So, be sure to monitor your own screen and make sure that you are muted when you need to be . (Thanks. It really helps) Those who are reading, leading prayers, etc, can un-mute in order to participate. Thanks for all you do to make this a meaningful community gathering.

Les Saints du Vin – Save the Date

We had a good turn-out for the virtual wine tasting on Sunday with 16 households participating. Everyone had their opportunity to present their wine and food pairing and inform/educate or entertain the group.  Everyone indicated they would be interested in participating again and there is a tentative date for May ton the calendar. Save the date for another virtual wine tasting on the 17th of May at 4PM. It's great to report that we raised $1,280 for the Calvert Churches Community Food Pantry!  Many thanks to all for your generous donations.
