Holiday Tips & Treats
Holidays are around the corner. During the holiday seasons, we wish you a great holiday to you and your loved ones. As part of tradition, holidays always bring joy to everyone which always been followed by delicious meals. We often forget to keep our teeth clean, especially after crispy, sticky and ultra-sweet meals and snacks. AllCare would like to remind you to take extra time to make sure your teeth are clean. The main concern is to keep braces clean and teeth free of plaque. If plaque is not removed, the end result could be cavities and permanently stained teeth. Keep your smile healthy, limit daily snack intake and eat nutritious, well balanced meals made up of foods from five major food groups: - Breads, cereals or other grains
- Fruits (Cut into small pieces for braces users)
- Vegetables (Also cut into small pieces for braces users)
- Meat, fish, poultry or protein alternates (again, cut into small pieces for braces user)
- Milk, yogurt or shredded cheese
While wearing braces, your child should continue to take regular care of teeth - brushing often as directed by your orthodontist, flushing daily, and visiting your dentist regularly. Don't forget to brush throughly at least twice a day with fluoride tooth-paste (and every after meal for braces users). Choose products that have the ADA seal of acceptance. Clean between teeth with floss or another interdental cleaner at least once a day to remove plaque.
