y|GEN Monthly Newsletter

Current, Future, and Prospective y|GENers,

In an effort to keep our cohort up to date with all we have going on with y|GEN and the BIA at large, the y|GEN board has created a monthly newsletter to share with you all!

From our keystone Mentorship Program, development site tours, Happy Hours and Dark Events, to Project Greenlights and other important industry matters being discussed and advocated for by the BIA, we are excited to use this newsletter as a way to bolster communications to bring you all in to the Young Generation of Leaders Council to help us push for a greater future for San Diego's home building industry.

Happy New Year! On behalf of the entire yGEN board, I want to express how excited we are about another great year of yGEN. I am honored to represent our group of young professionals as the yGEN chair this year. Together, we represent the future of our industry, one that is vibrant, adaptable, and ready to tackle the challenges of a rapidly evolving world. This year, we are excited to bring the yGEN membership networking opportunities, professional development (be sure to submit an application for our mentorship program!), housing advocacy efforts, and great events. I want to encourage each of you to get actively involved. Whether it’s joining a committee, attending events, sharing your ideas, or even joining the yGEN board, your participation is what makes yGEN a success. I’m looking forward to hanging out and learning with you all this year!

Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl!

On December 7th, we managed to round up 22 y|GEN members for our annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl!

This year we took to the streets of Normal Heights and made our way from Little Miss Brewing to Sycamore Den, the Rabbit Hole and a few other local watering holes before calling it an evening. It was a night filled with great drinks and better people as we celebrated the year that we've had together!
