inspiration station

oh hello gorgeous

Here is your SNIPPETS homework ...

STEP 1: Find a tube of lipstick or a mirror marker.

STEP 2: Go into your bathroom.

STEP 3: Write these words on the mirror ... YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL ... OH HELLO GORGEOUS, or whichever choice of words you need to see and hear and read daily to REMIND you, that YES, you are.

STEP 4: Believe it.

My 29-year-old daughter and my 52-year-old little sister tell me I am too hard on myself. Why is it that I wouldn't say the harsh words to a friend that I say to myself about my appearance, weight, etc.? I am working on this. At age 65, I should be 100% confident, shouldn't I? Shouldn't you?

I saw these two messages written on the mirror in a restaurant bathroom last weekend. And I fell in love with the concept of mirror-writing messages to ourselves!

Are you hard on yourself, too, snippeteers? Do you sabotage your appearance with negative talk about how you look, weigh, or about your hair, makeup, skin, wrinkles, etc?

GO ... write on the bathroom mirror. Read it daily. Change the message however often you need to.

This is not only a reminder about our physical selves ... it is a reminder of our insides, too. Beautiful inside and out. YES, you are.

Oh hello gorgeous. You look beautiful.

(and if you feel so inclined, snap a pic of your mirror message and send it to me to share! Let's inspire each other.)
