langley read author visit
Langley is pleased to host Andrew Forsthoefel next Thur, Oct 11 , when he will speak with the junior and senior classes about his book, Walking to Listen: 4000 Miles Across America, One Story at a Time . The highly acclaimed work, a reflection of the year the young author spent walking across America, has been described as remarkable , soulful and moving . The Saxon community chose Forstheofel’s book as this year’s Langley Read for upperclassmen.

Forsthoefel will conduct a listening workshop (open to all students) in the Library and a book signing during lunch and after school. Video streaming of the event will be available. We want to thank the Langley PTSA for generously supporting the Langley read program and this upcoming author event.

Congrats to Saxon Golfers! The boys’ team took home the district title from the Liberty District Golf Tournament , held Sept 26 at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course.

sports
Don’t forget to purchase your Langley Athletic Booster Membership!
Fall is the best time to purchase your family membership!  Membership at the Green & Gold level and above includes passes to every regular season home game at Langley High School – Every Season, Every Sport! Click  here  to join.

Langley Athletic Boosters is a 501c3 organization that supports all athletic teams at Langley to provide the equipment, field maintenance, training, Varsity letters, pins and certificates as well as other fees/expenses that FCPS doesn’t cover. In fact, FCPS only pays for officials, coaches’ stipends and buses to some events. Langley Athletic Boosters fills the gap to support all of our student athletes.

There are still lots of exciting home games for our fall sports teams. Come out and cheer on our Saxons! Go Saxons!
