Confirmation Tonight
Tonight at 7pm, many of our 8th-grade students will make their Sacrament of Confirmation. This is a significant evening in their faith journey, and we are honored to share in this milestone. We ask you all to take a few moments to pray for the students, their sponsors, and their families.

Early Dismissal Reminders
A reminder that next Wednesday, February 26, is 1:30pm dismissal day (1:20pm for Preschool). After Care is available until 6pm.
Friday, March 7 (Pat Mac Day!) is an 11:50am dismissal (11:40am for Preschool). After Care is not available on half-day dismissals.

Trimester 2 Ends Next Week
The final day of Trimester 2 is Friday, February 28. We encourage all families to take some time this weekend to review PowerSchool and Google Classroom with their children to ensure no work is missing. Students and/or parents may contact teachers with assignment-specific inquiries.
Report cards will be sent home on Friday, March 7. Parental and student PowerSchool access will be shut down from February 28 - March 7 as we prepare the final report cards. Families must be in good financial standing for report cards to be released. Please ensure all tuition, including incidental expenses such as Extended Day Care and tardy fees, are paid in full by February 28.

Request from Rock of Ages
Our cast and crew are working diligently to prepare for our upcoming Spring Musical - Rock of Ages (April 3 - 5). They are looking for a few items that you may have available to share:
Crew Supplies (donations can be dropped off at school, labeled Play: Art Room)
paint rollers, brown paint (for big set pieces and scenery, paint brushes, paint tray liners, paper towels, paint sticks, dish soap, rags
Cast Supplies (donations can be dropped off at school, labeled Play: Lynn DeHoyos)
2 rotary phones, cassette tapes (2 or 3), 80s style suitcase (small or light enough to use as a prop)
80s style purse, 80s style briefcase, 80s clothing and accessories (women's and men's suit/blazer/dress - anything with shoulder pads; acid washed jeans, jacket, vest; rock concert shirts; any fun 80s accessories).

Black History Month
DRESS DOWN - We invite all students to dress down next Friday, February 28, in their new (or last year's) BHM spirit wear or any black, red, green, or yellow school-appropriate apparel. Contribute to the $3 Charitable Dress Down online or bring $3 cash to school.
APPAREL - Thank you to all who supported the Culture Club's BHM spirit wear sale. All items will be sent home with students mid-next week in time to wear to school on Feb 28.
ASSEMBLY - As we close out Black History Month, our students will gather for an assembly on Friday, February 28, at 1:45pm. Due to capacity limits in our school gym, the only guests we can permit are parents/guardians of our featured student dancers and speakers. Guests should enter the building at the gym's main doors and sign in the lobby with a member of our staff.

Parker's Party Polar Plunge
About one week until the Plunge!
Those interested in joining team Parker’s Party on Sunday, March 2, for Polar Plunge Chicago, can register online with the team. Day of details, including transportation details and what to wear, will be sent to all registered participants on Friday, February 28.
All students who plunge MUST have a parent/guardian with them on the lakefront. This is one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events, and all children are required to have direct parental supervision.
We also invite all students to contribute to the $3 charitable dress down on Monday, March 3. Contribute to the $3 Charitable Dress Down online or bring $3 cash to school. ,

Pat Mac Day!
Pat Mac Day at St. Barnabas School is Friday, March 7! Registration for activities is due Wednesday, March 5!
Head Shave or Haircut! - To benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, students (and parents) may shave their heads or trim a minimum of 8” of their hair. Those hoping to be involved this way must pre-register with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. There is a $75 minimum fundraising requirement, and all waivers and registration are due by Wednesday, March 5.
Temporary Tattoo - Those not up for the shave or trim can still be part of the action. Students may opt for a temporary Pat Mac’s Pack tattoo. All proceeds go directly to support Pat Mac’s Pack Foundation. Students must register online by Wednesday, March 5. $20 individual contribution, or $50 for a family.
Dress Down - An easy, lower-cost way to make an impact - $3 Charitable Dress! Dress down in Pat Mac gear, green, or any Irish-inspired apparel on March 7.

In preparation for the April tax season, families are able to pull necessary tax documents directly from their FACTS Tuition Management Account.
Step 1: Sign into FACTS
Step 2: From your FACTS Financial Home, Click on View Details.
Step 3: Select “Payment Summary”.
Step 4: Select the year you need and then ‘Print’.

Valentines Day — Thank you to the many parents and guardians who helped their children thoughtfully prepare Valentines to share with their classmates. We also thank the parents who volunteered their time to help host class parties. It was lovely to witness so many acts of kindness and consideration on Valentine's Day.
Skating Party — Thank you, Katie Rao and Carly Hurd, for once again coordinating the Presidents' Day Skating party at Morgan Park Sports Complex - an awesome opportunity to be active and together as Buckeyes on our day off!
