THANK YOU

Catholic Schools Week - This has been a week of community-building, celebration, and reflection, all rooted in our shared commitment to Catholic education. We thank each of you for choosing St. Barnabas and for the time, energy, and enthusiasm you contributed to make this a memorable and meaningful week.

Faith
- To our students and families who attended our Sunday and Tuesday masses, thank you for joining us in prayer.

Volunteers
- We had over 100 parent and student volunteers helping at our Open House Mass and School Tours, over 15 parents and community members joined us for the Vocation Panel, and we anticipate a large number of volunteers at this afternoon’s Fun Food. Thank you for bringing your positivity and warmth. We simply could not do it without you.

Community
- To all the loved ones who attended our Grandparent Mass and Reception, you brought huge smiles to the faces of our entire school. It was incredibly special to have grandparents experience life at St. Barnabas.

Reflection
- To everyone who contributed to our Hall of Heroes wall, thank you for sharing your photos. We are humbled by the sacrifice and commitment of those who serve our country. We also extended a warm thank-you to 8th-grade students Mary Herber and Flannery McGowan for bravely and articulately speaking at our Sunday and Tuesday Masses about what a Catholic education means to them.

Celebration
- To our students (and parents) for bringing their creativity and support to our dress down days this week, thank you for bringing the spirit!

Generosity
- Thank you to Caitlin Andersen, Mary Kelly, and the FSA for hosting a teacher-appreciation luncheon on Thursday; the buffet was a welcome treat and was loved by all! And to the School Board for greeting our staff at school on Friday morning with a breakfast, it was a welcoming way to start our day.

Commitment
- To our Student Council leaders, for your attention, planning, and time. You consistently show up to support our students and staff with enthusiasm and dedication. Thank you for serving as role models of service.

Care
- To our teachers and staff for bringing energy and flexibility to this week. Catholic Schools Week is jam-packed, and we thank you for embracing it!

Luminaries - In December, we held our annual Christmas Luminary Project. This service project, led by our 8th-grade students, parents, and Mrs. McGowan, inspires us all to find hope and motivation in serving others, just as Jesus calls us to do. This year's project raised $2,580 in direct support of the Sheridan Fund. The Sheridan Fund was established to support school families experiencing hardship by offering financial assistance, comfort, and strength.

Get Behind the Vest - Thank you for your support of our Get Behind the Vest Dress Down. $1,103 was raised to help purchase bulletproof vests for Chicago Police Officers!
