Christmas Luminaries
Our parish comes alive with luminary candlelight on Christmas Eve, filling the neighborhood with hope and lighting the way home. The Christmas Luminaries are a service project coordinated by the 8th-grade students, and we hope you can all support this meaningful project. Proceeds will benefit The Sheridan Fund, which supports St. Barnabas families experiencing hardship by offering financial assistance, comfort, and strength.
Kits are available to purchase for individual houses or an entire block. Pre-ordering is encouraged, and the kits may be picked up in the parking lot on Sunday, December 14, between 11am - 1pm. Learn more and purchase a luminary kit for your house or entire block.

Staff Stocking Stuffer
Each year, thanks to the generous contributions of the St. Barnabas community, our school staff receives a Christmas bonus. We invite you to contribute to this year’s Staff Stocking Stuffer, a joint effort coordinated by the FSA and Men’s Club. This easy, time-saving tradition ensures that every staff member, including specials teachers and those without homerooms, receives a Christmas gift from our school community. No need for parents to shop for individual presents; simply contribute online, and your donation will be shared.
Each contribution makes a meaningful impact and helps to say thank you for the countless ways the staff nurture, guide, and inspire our students. Donations will be accepted through next week, and contributors' names will be listed on the Stocking Stuffer Thank You Page. Contribute today.

Christmas Pageant, Next Friday
Please join us next Friday, December 12, at 1:45pm in the Church for our School Christmas Pageant. In this student-led telling of the Nativity story, our 1st-grade students serve as angels and shepherds, 5th-grade students serve as the choir, and 7th-grade students are the actors. All families are welcome to attend this moving retelling of the First Christmas.
In keeping with the reverence of the occasion, we ask that all students viewing the pageant wear their regular uniforms; no gym uniforms, please. All grade levels of students will return to school after the pageant and be dismissed, as usual, at the end of day.
And save the date for the Preschool Pageant on Thursday, December 18!

Cold Weather Reminders
Snow boots - each homeroom is equipped with a long rug in the hallway outside its room for students to store their snow boots. Students who wear boots should bring their school shoes in their backpacks to change in and out of them each day.
Label all clothes - please label sweatshirts, sweaters, coats, gloves, and hats with your child’s name. These items can easily be misplaced during the day, and if they are labeled, they can often make their way back to their owner.
Weather-related closings - While rare, school must sometimes close due to inclement weather. If this happens, we will notify parents via email and text message. School activities, including extracurricular classes, practices, and home games, are suspended when school is closed. Please ensure you have opted into our text messaging service by texting Yes to 67587. The phone number registered for text alerts must be the current cell phone number of the parents/guardians on file within the student's records.

Thank you to our dedicated Student Council for organizing our Christmas dress-downs. These days are optional, and students are always welcome to wear their uniform as an alternative.
