Ridge Run on Monday

This Monday morning, Memorial Day, our neighborhood celebrates the annual BAPA Ridge Run & Parade! St. Barnabas serves as a water station for thousands of runners participating in the day. If you can join Ms. Sadowski at 7:45am to help out, please email her at gsadowski@stbarnabasparish.org.

Good luck to all our Buckeye runners, especially those running as part of Team Run Like a Cheetah. We’re rooting for you!

Sports Registration for Fall 2025

Registration for some of our Fall 2025 sports teams is now open. We require registration in May as team rosters are finalized before the end of the school year, and practices begin during the summer. Please do not miss these important deadlines!

Football (rising Grades 4 - 8) and Cheer (rising Grades 5 - 8) - Register by Thursday, May 28 for Football and Cheer. Learn more and register

Girls Basketball (rising Grades 3 - 8) - Register by May 27 for Grades 6 - 8 and June 1 for Grades 3 - 5. Tryouts for placement on A and B teams for Grades 6 - 8 athletes will take place May 28 and May 29 in the school gym. Athletes in grades 3 - 5 are not required to try out. Fall Soccer (PK and 8) registration is coming soon and will be open throughout the summer.

Last Day of Hot Lunch - Next Friday

Next Friday, May 30 is the last day of hot lunch service. During the final week of school, all students will need to bring a bagged lunch from home.

Tuition Reminder

A reminder to all families, please check FACTS Tuition Management to confirm your account is paid in full. Balances need to be paid in full by Friday, May 30, in order for families to receive i-Ready results, end-of-year report cards, and to secure their enrollment spot for next year.

Grad Week!

When we return from the Memorial Day holiday, we officially enter Grad Week! 8th-grade students do not attend traditional classes this week and are on an alternate schedule. The full details for the week can be found on our website.

• Tuesday, May 27: Class Of 2025 Retreat at school 7:45am - 7pm (student only)
• Wednesday, May 28: Graduation Practice & Picnic  at school 10am - 1:30pm (student only)
• Thursday, May 29: Awards Ceremony at church 10am - 12pm (students + parents/guardians). Pick up your custom Class of 2025 yard sign on the rectory lawn after the ceremony!
• Friday, May 30: Graduation Day! Legacy Photo - student + alumni parents and/or grandparents) 6pm at Rectory Porch; Graduation Ceremony & Liturgy - 6:30pm student arrival + open family seating in church. The Liturgy and Ceremony begins at 7pm and lasts ~ 90 minutes; Student & Parent Graduation Party - Wiers Family Home at 10pm 

Talent Show - Thank you to our talented and brave Buckeyes who performed in our school talent show last week. We were beyond proud of the courage, talent, and creativity that burst from our stage. Sout out to the Student Council for coordinating the event!

8th Grade Parent Committee - The 8th-grade students have enjoyed a number of truly special events over the past week because of the dedication of our school parents. Many thanks to all the parents who devoted countless hours of love and creativity to host the Arts & Athletics Banquet, Dinner Dance, Flag Football Pack the Field, and the White Sox game. Making memories for a lifetime!
