INFORMATION SUNDAY

Arrival

Information Sunday begins after Mass at approximately 11:30am. Please use the Main Entrance doors. Families are welcome to arrive at the school between 11:30am and 12pm; the event should conclude by 1pm. If you're attending Mass, it's easiest to leave school supplies in your car and gather them before heading into the school building.

On Sunday morning, all staff will be at Mass. The doors will not open for the school event until all teachers are in the school building.

Family Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup begins in our Main Hall. Please check in with a School Board member to receive your family packet. This packet contains homeroom teacher assignments, your Big Bucks Raffle Tickets, and details about the school year. Lines can occasionally be a little long at the start of the day, but we look forward to seeing our hall crowded with your smiling faces and buzzing enthusiasm!

The family packets contain confidential family information and will only be given to parents/guardians. Students, friends, and neighbors will not be permitted to collect packets.

Medical Forms

All forms are due at Info Sunday. Please turn in to a School Board member during your packet pick-up. Before arriving at school, please carefully review your forms to ensure all information, including all required signatures, is complete. View Medical Requirements.

All Fall Sport Athletes are required to have an annual sports physical or medical form on file. Students who are not in compliance may be prevented from participating with their team until proper documentation has been submitted.

Volunteer Forms

To volunteer in any capacity throughout the school year, all adults are required to go through the Virtus Training and Compliance Program. We recommend that all parents/guardians complete their required steps at the start of the year.

The CANTS 689 and CANTS 22 forms must be cursive-signed in ink; DCFS does not permit electronically signed forms. Print, sign, and return at Info Sunday.

School Supplies

Please bring all school supplies to Info Sunday. Communal supplies: paper towels, tissues, wipes, and plastic bags do not need to be labeled with the student's name. All other supplies should be labeled with the student's name.

When you first arrive, please drop off your communal supplies in the Main Hall-Innovation Center. All other supplies can be brought to homerooms. View the supply lists.

Preschool students should bring all supplies to the PK building; please do not drop PK shared supplies in the Innovation Center.

6th Grade iPad Pickup

Parents/guardians of all incoming 6th Grade students must pick up their student’s iPad at Information Sunday. After checking in with a Board Member to receive your family packet, please proceed to the Media Center. Our new Technology Assistant, Ms. Amelia McCabe, will be distributing devices directly to parents; students are welcome to accompany their parent to iPad pickup but are not required.

This year's iPad is Model A3354 - an A16 11-inch / 11th Generation. Each family is responsible for purchasing a durable protective case with an integrated keyboard for use throughout the school year. The case does not need to be brought along with the other Information Sunday school supplies.

Homeroom Visits

After check-in and supply drop, you can visit your child's new homeroom! Drop off individual supplies, greet the teacher, and say hello to classmates.

This day is intended as a quick meet-and-greet. If you wish to discuss specific matters related to the academic year ahead, please email the teacher to arrange a time to connect at a later date.

Uniform Pick-up

Uniform Pick-Up - Thank you to the many families who placed online orders for gym uniforms and sweatshirts! After you finish your homeroom visits, please stop by the gym to pick up your merchandise.

Uniform Exchange
- While in the gym, visit the table of gently used items that remain from our July Uniform Exchange.

If you still need gym uniforms, same-day purchases are available at Schools Are Us. In the coming weeks, we also plan to carry a selection of uniform sweatshirts, available for same-day purchase at school.
