Funeral for Officer Martinez

We are incredibly saddened by the tragic death of Chicago Police Officer Enrique Martinez; please join us in praying for Officer Martinez and his beloved family, friends, and co-workers. On Monday morning, the funeral procession will travel from Blake-Lamb to the St. Rita Chapel. Our Administration and Student Council will stand at 101st Western Avenue to offer our community’s support during the procession. The rest of our staff and students will remain on campus and will prayerfully reflect and offer a moment of silence to Officer Martinez.

We know some of you may wish for your children to share in the funeral procession. If you would like to pick your child up at 9:15am so they may attend the procession with a family member, please complete this Google Form by Sunday night.

May God bless Officer Martinez and all police officers who heroically serve our community,

CELEBRATING THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving Food Drive

For forty years, The Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry has been serving those in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. Hunger can sometimes feel invisible in our neighborhood, but the lines at the pantry tell a different story. We continue our annual tradition of supporting this wonderful organization. To balance our donation, we invite each grade to bring from the designated list of contributions. Thank you for your support and for serving as the hands of Christ.

Thanksgiving Break Schedule

As a reminder, we will dismiss from school at 11:50am (11:40 for PK) on Tuesday, November 26. After Care is not available. The school will be closed for the remainder of the week, and class resumes on Monday, December 2.

Thanksgiving Day Mass

All are welcome to gather for Thanksgiving Day Mass on Thursday, November 28, at 10am in the Church. We invite you to bring a non-perishable food item to add to the Offertory Procession.

All food collected will be used to replenish the shelves at three local food pantries. Learn more.
