Richard Brodsky finsihed the January 27, 2013 ING Miami Marathon in 04;36:18. Richard finished 24th out of 73 in his age group. Tough run for me as I was running with posterior tibial tendonitis on my left leg.
 
Jodi
Jodi Brodsky finished the January 27, 2013 ING Miami Marathon in 04:07:49. making this her second fastest marathon. Jodi finished 3rd in her age group.

All my wife and I really want is to continue running marathons and helping children both in Africa and America. We both feel truly blessed that we are able to help children through our marathon running and we can only continue our work if you partner with us and give us your support. We will never be the size of UNICEF or the American Cancer Society, but I can say this firsthand, "I promise to work harder than any other President of a Foundation to make sure we are able to help as many children both in Africa and America who are living with HIV or cancer, and if that means running a marathon with an injury, then let me lace up my running shoes now."

  • GREAT NECK NORTH HIGH SCHOOL will be having its 2nd annual faculty co-ed basketball game to benefit the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation on March 14, 2013, 5 PM - 8 PM, school gym, 35 Polo Road, Great Neck, NY 11023. $5 suggested donation, plenty of giveaways + raffles, snacks + beverages  
  • RETROFEST, (you are invited, read more) will be doing a fundraising concert consisting of multiple bands on April 20, 2013, 8 PM - 2:30 AM at the Blue Parrot, 5460 Merrick Road, Massapequa, NY 11758. $10 donation, plenty of giveaways + raffles.  
  • 5K AIDS Cancer Run Walk will more than likely be relocating from Cedar Creek Park to North Woodmere Park for its 6th annual Event, June 9, 2013, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM, at 750 Hungry Harbor Road, North Woodmere, NY 11581. $22 - $25 registration fee, great brunch, personalized Event t-shirt if you register by mid-May, trophies, tons of free raffles, prizes to the fastest runners + entertainment. Registration will be open by March 1, 2013 
  • FREE 5th annual 5K Run / Walk for HIVers, Cancer Survivors & Friends, October 27, 2013, 9 am - 12 am, Oceanside Park, Oceanside, New York. $10 refundable entry fee if you show up, great brunch, personalized Event t-shirt, 10 trophies minimum, FREE raffles, prizes to the fastest runners + entertainment. Registration will be open by July 1, 2013 
  • WORLD AIDS MARATHON, Kisumu, Kenya, 8th annual Event, December 1, 2013. $120 registration fee also includes local travel from Kisumu to orphan dinner dances on November 29 and 30. Registration will be open in August. Kenyans only pay $1. Everyone will receive an Event t-shirt plus enjoy an afternoon of great entertainment after the marathon at Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground.  
  • DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED by my Foundation and me so I can  continue running marathons and raising awareness to government, society, and business that people living with HIV and cancer can be productive members of society if they have access to doctors, medicine and affordable healthcare. To make a donation, click here, or mail your donation to the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation, 1247 Mara Court, Atlantic Beach, NY 11509. A donation of $100 will entitle you to have you name placed on the back of the Event t-shirt for the Foundation's next running Event. A $200 donation will entitle you to have your logo on the shirt plus your website will be linked to the 5K website. If your $200 donation is received by February 8, on the back of the 2012 post-event World AIDS Marathon t-shirt, it will be noted that you and  a few others donated the t-shirts. Smaller donation are very much appreciated as well, and are noted below.  
  • RACE DIRECTORS who would like to partner with my Foundation to help promote running and raise awareness that people living with so-called fatal illnesses can lead productive lives if they have affordable access to doctors, medicine and  healthcare. kindly consider INVITING JODI AND ME  to participate in your marathons. 

 
About the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation
The Foundation donates money to various AIDS projects in Kenya, sponsors orphan dinner dances and provides medical care for Kenyan orphans, AIDS and cancer research projects in America and to organizations providing aid to people living with HIV and cancer.   • $20, (shipping included only within the United States) you will receive a box of 10 assorted greeting cards designed by Tyler Frizthand of Great Neck North High School and donated by clubflyers of Miami. Packaging in clear boxes has been donated by clearbags. Bulk rate pricing is available for 10 boxes or more

  • $50, you will receive the book, Richard Brodsky's Journey of Hope , honor/mention of a deceased relative or friend, see page 2 of link. (next printing will be August 2013)   

 

  • $100, your name on the Event t-shirt, you will receive a shirt.
  • $200, your logo & website or phone number on the shirt + 2 shirts for you.
  • $200, your website will be linked to 5K AIDS Cancer website for local events..
  • When you do a Google search for 5K AIDS, we generally are listed as #1,2,3,4,5 & 6  
  • $250, your logo will appear on the 5K Event banner.
  • Smaller and larger donations are accepted as well and for anyone who donates $20 you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation depicting photos of the Event.

Dr. Rho saved my arm as I took a bad fall and he restored my arm to just about perfect. Bridge Rehab of Long Beach did a great job on the therapy that was prescribed by Dr. Rho. Thank you Dr. Edward Fryman of Seaford Foot Care Center for successfully treating my leg for posterior tibial tendonitis.
